Backup Singer

A backup singer, also known as a backing vocalist, is a performer who sings supporting vocal parts behind the main or lead vocalist in a song or live show; they often provide harmonies, background vocal lines, call‑and‑response segments, or layered vocal textures that enrich the overall sound, creating a fuller and more resonant vocal arrangement that enhances the lead singer’s performance.
